MSLAW/NICHOLS COLLEGE
JOINT JD/MBA DEGREE PROGRAM
The Nichols College Graduate MBA Program and MSLAW have entered into an agreement which permits their students to work toward MBA and JD degrees simultaneously.

MSLAW and Nichols College Graduate students will be able to credit six hours of courses given by MSLAW toward both degrees, as well as an additional six hours of courses given either by Nichols at MSLAW , by MSLAW at Nichols, or team taught at either institution by faculty members of both institutions.

The courses given by Nichols which can be credited toward both degrees include:

• Legal Environment of Business Leadership
• Ethics & Management
• Tax Basis for Management Decisions
• Monetary and Fiscal Policy
• International Perspectives: Business, Government & Regulation
• Environmental Issues and Corporate Policy
• Entrepreneurship
• Environmental Issues and Public Policy

The courses given by MSLAW which can be credited toward both degrees include:

• Business Associations
• Creating and Representing New Businesses
• Financial Institutions
• International Business Transactions
• Franchise Law
• Business Negotiations and Agreement
• Corporate Taxation

NICHOLS COLLEGE/MSLAW
SIX YEAR JOINT DEGREE PROGRAM
Nichols College and Massachusetts School of Law have entered into a joint degree agreement, which permits students wishing to pursue a career in law to complete their educational requirements in six years, rather than the typical (and more expensive) seven years. Students admitted to Nichols College may simultaneously take courses at MSLAW and Nichols at no additional tuition charge, gaining the benefits of Nichols’ liberal arts curriculum while easing into the rigors of law school. Similarly, MSLAW students can take advantage of upper level courses offered at Nichols College to expand the breadth of their scholarship. Students enrolling in and successfully completing the joint degree program will receive a BA from Nichols College, and a JD from MSLAW.

The six year program provides students who have traditionally been excluded from legal education with a tremendous opportunity to obtain a law degree more affordably than elsewhere. In the joint degree program, Nichols students spend the first three years of their studies at the Nichols campus. During the fourth year, they enroll in a senior seminar and two senior projects at Nichols, as well as 21 credit hours of first year classes at MSLAW . Credits earned at MSLAW are applied to Nichols’ degree requirements. Students then spend their final two years in the program at MSLAW to earn their JD. Students choosing to pursue a work or non-classroom experience after the fourth or fifth year may apply for a leave of absence to gain valuable real world experience before completing their degrees.

HESSER COLLEGE/MSLAW
SIX YEAR JOINT DEGREE PROGRAM
Hesser College and MSLAW have entered into a joint degree program which allows qualified students interested in pursuing a legal career to receive their BS and their JD in six years, rather than seven years. Students enrolled in the joint degree program will spend the first three years of their studies at Hesser College. The fourth year will be spent at Massachusetts School of Law taking a full course load, for which the students will receive full course credit at both institutions, and which will satisfy the course requirements for a BS. Years five and six will also be spent at MSLAW, completing the course requirements for a JD. This accelerated program allows students to start their legal careers a year earlier than would otherwise be possible, while at the same time saving the student significant tuition costs.

NEWBURY COLLEGE/MSLAW
SIX YEAR JOINT DEGREE PROGRAM
Newbury College and MSLAW have entered into a joint degree program which allows qualified students interested in pursuing a legal career to earn their BS and their JD in six years, instead of the usual seven years. Students enrolled in the program complete a 97 credit course of study at Newbury College before matriculating to MSLAW . This accelerated program allows students to pursue a legal career a year earlier than would otherwise be possible, while at the same time saving the student significant tuition costs.

BECKER COLLEGE/MSLAW
SIX YEAR JOINT DEGREE PROGRAM
Becker College and Massachusetts School of Law have entered into a joint degree agreement, which permits students wishing to pursue a career in law to complete their educational requirements in six years, rather than the typical (and more expensive) seven years. MSLAW and Fitchburg State College Graduate students will be able to credit six hours of courses given by MSLAW toward both degrees, as well as an additional six hours of courses given either by Fitchburg State, by MSLAW at Fitchburg State, or team taught at either institution by faculty members of both institutions.
